KIDS CARNIVAL

LOCAL BUSINESS AND NONPROFIT EXPO

A major highlight of the event was the Kids Carnival, led by RSU22 students:

  • Students from each grade level, along with school clubs and athletic teams, hosted carnival games and activities
  • This built school pride, student leadership, and authentic community involvement
  • Families were encouraged to stay longer, participate, and visit vendor booths throughout the event

The result was a lively, interactive atmosphere with built-in enthusiasm and steady foot traffic.

Proceeds from the game tickets sold will be shared between the clubs and RSU22 Foundation to support our teachers and classrooms.

18 games and activities were held by Hampden Academy high school student clubs, RSU22 staff & programs, and local community organizations including:

Why the Expo and Carnival matters

The Expo and Carnival helps our communities re-connect, show support for our teachers and students, and just have a day of fun!  Also, proceeds will help the RSU22 Education Foundation support our six public schools, teachers, and classrooms in Hampden and Winterport, serving students from Frankfort, Hampden, Newburgh,  and Winterport.   We do this primarily through our annual "teacher mini-grant" program. In 2024-2025, we provided $2,000 in mini-grants to teachers throughout the RSU22 School District.

For more information, please email us at rsu22educationfoundation@gmail.com or follow the Expo and Carnival event page on Facebook for updates!
