Board Associates

A hands-on way to help while we build

Board Associates provide advisory support that keeps the Foundation moving. This role is ideal for organized individuals, early-career professionals, retirees, and first-time professionals seeking meaningful experience without a vote (yet).

Who is this ideal for?

If you love checklists and tidy follow-through, you can do it all backstage. Spend 2–4 hours a month researching, polishing one-pagers, updating the website, and supporting grants or events. If you are the person people call when they need to "just make it happen," this opportunity is for you.

What the role involves

  • Prep & follow-through. Help compile board packets, notes, and action lists; track simple KPIs.
  • Research & drafting. Pull sample policies/SOPs; draft one-pagers, grant blurbs, or sponsor lists.
  • Fundraising assists. Donor thank-you touches, sponsor outreach support, event logistics.
  • Marketing assists. Website updates, basic PR tasks, social content coordination (templates provided).
  • Grant support. Organize applications, check completeness, assemble summary tables.

Time commitment (predictable)

  • Monthly rhythm: ~2–4 hours/month; up to 6–8 hours in event or grant months.
  • Meetings: Optional drop-ins for context (we’ll share agendas/notes).
  • Scheduling: Flexible—most tasks can be done remotely.

Pathway & support

  • Onboarding: 30-minute orientation + templates and checklists.
  • Growth path: Opportunity to move into a committee or board seat if/when you’re ready.

Why join the RSU22 Education Foundation?

Build portfolio-ready experience. Real deliverables, references, and leadership exposure.

See immediate results. Your checklists and drafts become funded projects and efficient operations.

Right-sized commitment. Help in short, focused bursts that fit your life.

Community impact. Support students and teachers across our four towns.

Real impact, quickly. Your votes fund classroom projects and student opportunities you can see.
